Do you think this will make you “holy”?

We can agree on this one Paul! Don’t bring in SEC talk however- I already took you to task on that one a month ago. :) You are pulling for the Big 10 QB over the SEC QB however.

The congregation on the Lord’s day shall be large. Huddled around, eager to hear and see. Unfortunately, not for the Lord, but those who are not concerned about His Day.

    • Richard,

I too lament the fact that millions will take a fun pastime and make it into a shiny object of worshipful devotion. However the issue is not a this or that as if loving Christ means we have to take an absence on everything else.

I plan to preach my heart out on Sunday, exhorting the elect of God also calling sinners to repentance. I also plan to enjoy a time of fellowship with christian friends and family watching a football game. I take preaching just as seriously as having “no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day” (Col 2:16).

Blessings to you and go Saints!
