Who is Jesus Christ? How you answer such a question means everything. Richard Baxter wrote in his famous work The Reformed Pastor that “nothing can be known unless God be known.” The Apostle John tells us that Jesus is the “exposition” of God (John 1:18). Jesus himself said that He is the only way to God (John 14:6) and that believing in Him we have eternal life (John 6:48). Therefore the center-piece of all things is Jesus Christ (Col. 1:17-18). He is Lord and Savior and in Him all the fullness of God dwells. He claimed to be God (cf. John 6:35-41ff) and attested this through signs and wonders that only God could do. Most of all, as God, Jesus alone can forgive sin and reconcile us to Himself (2 Cor. 5:21). He is the one who was anticipated by the prophets of old (cf. Isa. 53; Ps. 2; Heb. 1:1) and the one who makes the promise of forgiveness a reality (Jer. 31:34). So who is this Jesus and what does He want with me? Find out more here or here.
